2011....2012

On New Year's Eve we took the kids bowling at Boondocks. They always have so much fun with this American classic game. Mike and I took a bowling class in college while we were engaged. I needed 1 more fitness credit to graduate and he was a trooper to take it with me. Needless to say we became very competitive in this class and have been ever since, but love to get in a good game of bowling every now and then. When we take our kids, we have a tradition to play a serious game and bowl our best and then the next game of 10 frames is our crazy bowling. It usually consits of everyone choosing a different way of bowling and still seeing who can get the highest score. We take a round of bowling with our eyes closed, backwards, left handed, or even spinning 10 times and then letting go. We get all sorts of looks from everyone, but we sure do have fun!

Then we met up with my parents at their house for some yummy Chinese take-out and headed to downtown Kaysville for their New Year's Eve "First Night" Our nephew Michael was hired to be the D.J. and the kids danced like crazy on the dance floor. Then we played games for prizes and went home to watch the ball drop. 2012 here we come! I can already see all the changes that are going to happen this year. Excited for some, a little worried about others, but all in all I know it's going to be a great year. Happy New Year!
