Crazy Hair Day

Our sweet four year old, Megan, had "Crazy Hair Day" at preschool. As the day approached, I asked her how she wanted me to fix her hair. She kept grabbing the ends and would pull it up straight in the air and said, "Can you make it stand up like this!?!" I tried to explain that with hair as long as she has, no matter how much goop and hairspray, hair just doesn't stand straight up. Anyway, that morning we both didn't know what to expect. Then, I remembered my older sister, Allison, who always had long hair, was Pippi Long Stalking for Halloween one year when we were younger. I quickly went to the closet and found a wire hanger and went to work. The hardest part about doing her hair was trying to have her hold still because of all her giggles!

Dad was home from work early just in time to go to lunch. We received a lot of stares at Paradise Bakery, but a few high-fives too. I kept giggling all day because she kept bumping into door jams with her wide hair and in this picture, poked Jaron in the eye as I took the picture.
