Today was Mike's thirty something birthday. It's hard having a birthday so close after all the Christmas let down or maybe it's just hard on me trying to plan a celebration for such a wonderful guy so close to all the gift giving, family parties and Christmas splendor. Each year I want him to know how much he is loved, appreciated and grateful for. We love you so much Mike and I hope you always know everyday is a day to celebrate with you!
One of Mike's favorite things is seafood. No matter where we go on vacation or what restaurants we eat at for date nights or occasionally with the family, he orders whatever seafood they have on the menu. Sad to say, even at Artic Circle, he orders fish and chips. Sizzler...all you can eat shrimp. Chili's...salmon, Cheese Cake Factory...the catch of the day. Anyway, you get the idea. So, for our birthday tradition of going out to eat he naturally chose Red Lobster. Everyone ordered lobster, but me. Oops! Did he marry the right gal? Even Nate, Megan and Jaron at the red marine crustaceans. They all love it and had so much fun picking out the little critters they were going to eat from the tank. Well, I think Jaron like the lobster rake, more than the lobster, but he loved peering through the glass.
After dinner we came home to another favorite. Ice Cream cake. Um mm... so good. Happy Birthday Mike! We all love you so much!
