Locks of Love

A few weeks ago we decided to give Megan her first major hair cut. She has had an inch or two trimmed off here and there since she was 6 months old, but this was a major change. So, on April 16th we cut off 9 inches!!! With a daily battle to comb her long hair on her tender head, she asked if she could have shorter has like her cousin Lindsey. I took her to Great Clips and when we were deciding how much to cut off, they asked me if I would donate her hair to "Locks of Love" program. Locks of Love is a public non-profit organization that provides hairpieces to financially disadvantaged children under age 21 suffering from long-term medical hair loss from cancer and other diseases. The min. amount they accept is 9 inches, so we tied her hair in a pony tail and snip, snip. It is much easier to comb and fun to have a change! We filled out the application and mailed off her hair and can't wait to see what it turns into!
