St. George Trip
A few weeks ago Mike had a conference for work in St. George. We decided to check the kids out of school for a few days and spend some time as a family. It was well worth the make-up work and I really needed to get away somewhere warm. While it was snowing in Kaysville, we were in sunny St. George with 62 degree weather all week. It was wonderful! For the first few days Mike was in meetings and classes, we hung out at the pool, went shopping at the outlets, and toured the dinosaur museum. Then each night we played and visited the St. George Temple, the airport (you have to know Mike had to check the planes) and every time we asked the kids what they wanted to do, we hear a chorus of SWIM!!! After the conference was over we stayed a few extra days to play with dad. We drove an 1 1/2 hours to Las Vegas and saw the fountains at the Bellagio, the M&M store, a circus act at no other than Circus-Circus and the replica of the Statue of Liberty and Eiffel Tower. The kids were amazed and so was I. It has been at least 20 years since I've been there and it has changed a lot! On the way home we stopped to see the Las Vegas Temple and found a Terrible Herbst gas station. It is something that we've always been told about, but never seen. Well, now Mike can say he's been there, done that and even got a few souvenirs from there. One of my favorite parts of the trip was taking the "long" way home and driving through Zion's National Park. Mike had never been and it was breathtaking. A little snow on the red cliffs made it spectacular and my kids loved the views.

I love all the pictures! It's so nice to have a little get-away that's so close...and warm! :)
