I just wanted to introduce you to my sweet little neice, Hailey. My sister Allison sent this email out to family and I wanted to pass along the good news! On my family side, she now makes it 19 grandchildren! 12 girls and 7 boys. Go mom and dad! Look at the legacy you have started! Welcome to our family little one!
Just wanted to let you know about our latest addition into the very girly girl world of the Southard home. We brought home our 6th daughter on Wed evening from the hospital. Hailey Deanne Southard was born on Monday, Feb. 15, 2010. What a sweet Valentines Day gift! The labor and delivery went well and she was one of our biggest babies at 6 lbs 5 oz! She is 18 ½ inches long. We have always used a family name for the middle name, and this time we decided to use part of her daddy’s name. Jeff’s middle name is Dean. So, we added an “ne” and have Deanne. I have attached pictures. She has a lot of black hair and it doesn’t really lie down, but we love it! She is so sweet and we love having her. The girls are especially happy and there is always an abundance of open arms ready to hold Hailey at any time! The sisters love that they will remain “The Southard Girls.” Emma feels especially big and loves being a big sister. She calls her “my baby sister” all day long. We are doing well, adjusting to the needs of 6… from 15 years old to 7 days old and it’s quite exciting. (Ashley got her drivers permit just a few days before Hailey was born—she is very excited J) Sorry it’s taken me a few days to get this sent. We are functioning on little bits of sleep. J Thanks for your friendship and love. Thanks, also, for everyone that has been so helpful and kind to our family. We have had lots of help with carpooling, meals, kids, etc. etc.! We love you all.
