Thanksgiving weekend was full of family, food and fun. This year we went up to my parents cabin, near Heber. It was fun to get away and be in such a beautiful, secluded place that we were not distracted by the hustle and bustle of the media, maniac shoppers and traffic. We missed my two brothers and their families who now live out of state, but are excited to see them at Christmas. While we were there for the long week-end, we went riding on the four-wheelers, snuck into town and saw "Twilight", made gingerbread houses and played game after game with the family. My kids favorite part of Thanksgiving Day was after our yummy dinner, my mom and dad had a special Family Home Evening and we talked about why we celebrate Thanksgiving and what it means to be thankful and how to have a daily gratitude in our hearts. They passed out "Thankful Journals" and gave a goal to everyone to write down every day something that they are thankful for. So far, my kids have done it every day and really have been looking for things that they are thankful for to write down. I am so grateful to have parents who are such great examples for my children and inspire us by example to be more giving and humble.

Glad you guys had a fun-filled Thanksgiving. The picture of the boys in the fort is totally cool!
