The first Monday of December we always set up the nativity for Family Home Evening. It is the first decoration we get out to help us remember who's birthday we are celebrating. My kids love unwrapping each piece as we read the Christmas story from the Bible in Luke. This was a tradition we did in my family growing up and it really helped me visualize the story of the shepard's, wise men and even the animals in the stable.

Nothing feels more like Christmas than decorating our snowman tree. I have always felt that it needs to be a family project and let the kids help rather than just mom or dad doing it. We turn on our Christmas music and each child has their own box of ornaments that their Grandma Lyn has given over the years. We had to laugh when Austin put all of his on the same branch, but I think it means more to them when they get to help and they really look forward to it each year.

Going to see Santa Clause! The boys made their lists and last night we hopped in the car with Dad to visit St. Nick! Megan wasn't too excited to see him, but maybe she'll understand next year. Austin and Nathan sat on his lap and talked to him for a long time. We went on a night that wasn't very busy and he asked them questions about school and being nice to friends. It was great!
Our family loves this magical season and is most grateful for the Savior and His Atonement. We love each of your and are very thankful for your love, friendship and support. We feel that we have been blessed so much this year with our health, family and all the wonderful things we have been able to do. We wish you all the Merriest Christmas and hope you have a Happy New Year!
