It was almost 7:30am Christmas morning and I was lying in bed wondering how much longer my kids were going to sleep and if I should go wake them up or enjoy the rest, but the anticipation was killing me! I know on a regular basis my kids sleep in and on most mornings I am grateful for that, but I couldn't wait any longer. I got up and wondered into the boys bedroom. That's all it took and Nathan was awake instantly asking if Santa had come. We all got up and retrieved our Christmas stockings that were hung by the chimney with care and found what Santa left for us in them first. Afterwards, we headed to the Christmas Tree and has a blast looking at what he left for them. We had a yummy breakfast of organge french toast and then opened our family gifts. We took our time and were still opening up gifts at noon and it was great. We didn't have to go anywhere and didn't want too. It was a blizzard outside and it was wonderful staying in at home with the family.
