Happy Birthday Jaron! You are now 2 years old. Oh, how we love and adore you! You amaze me everyday how ambitious, happy and curious you are. You love to explore and get into everything! I know that's why you are so smart. You learn new things so fast and try to figure out how everything works, how it is organized and more than anything, love to be around your family. I have to admit, we've given you a couple of nicknames. One is ... our little monkey.... Just like the books and cartoon of Curious George, you are a curious little fellow and love to see how things work, take things apart and pull things out. One of your best traits is that you are so sweet to everyone around you and if anything is wrong, you make sure they are happy. I often hear you asking them. "you okay?" I love your tender heart.

For your birthday, our family activity was to go see the "Disney On Ice" production. We took the train into Salt Lake and all of the kids loved riding the train. Honestly, it was great to not worry about the snowy roads, traffic or parking. We jumped the train at the Layton station (which is about 8 min. from our house) and were there in 30 min. It's our first time to see this show and everyone really enjoyed the ice dancing (as Megan explains it), the fireworks, costumes and treats. We laughed everytime you kept yelling out all the characters you recognized. You loved seeing Mickey Mouse, Goofy and Lightning McQueen! Afterwards, we ate lunch at the Gateway and took the next train home just in time for presents, cake and a few pictures. It was a great day and I love seeing your brothers and sister get so excited to celebrate your birthday. Nathan always helped me clean up the house and put streamers on your door with balloons, Austin wraped and organized the presents and I think Megan drew about 20 pictures for you that day and wrote another 10 or so birthday cards just for YOU! We love you so much Jaron. Happy 2nd Birthday!

Jaron is a great fan of Elmo and all he wanted was a Elmo cake. I made one for Nathan with his 2nd birthday and I think Megan helped put the idea in his mind after reviewing my scrapbooks of pictures from Nathan's birthday many years ago. The funny things was that when Megan and Jaron both were eating the cake they asked if I could take off Elmo's fur. Yuck, they do not like the taste of coconut!
