Nathan's certificate and award
Tonight Nathan received his Arrow of Light Award from Cub Scouts. We are so proud of him and all his hard work he has done to achieve this. He earned his award 4 months before his 11th birthday and mostly all on his own. I have enjoyed watching him get so excited and ambitious about going to scouts, passing off requirements and learning so many new things. Since he is my oldest son, I didn't realize how important this award is. I found out that it is the highest honor or award that a cub scout can earn and it takes a lot of hard work and time to get it. We are very grateful for his scout leaders, The Garvin's, who were so organized, had a plan mapped out of what he needed to do at home and at scouts. They encouraged and helped Nathan every step of the way. It's amazing to see how important great leaders can be. The first few minutes after we came home, he already had a hammer and nail in his hand waiting for Dad to take off his coat and shoes so that they could hang it up in his room. Good Job Nate! |
