Everyone had a car...even Megan
It was Pinewood Derby Time and this year we had 2 boys in Cub Scouts to race a car. I was a little worried about the time it was going to take to design, cut and paint these blocks of wood and a little worried about the competitive nature of boys. Luckily, it was the kids who took it for fun and to we all had a eventful evening. They announced a few weeks before that after the boys raced their cars, then they would let anyone who wanted to enter to be able to race a car. Well, our little Megan was in! She knew exactly what kind of car she wanted and it had to be PINK! It was great fun and we were relieved that it was over with no arguments, yelling or taunts like we heard some other wards that have had problems in the past. Way to go boys! |
