Many wonderful things happend on the 4th of July....
1st -My sister Emily and her husband Stephen were able to bring home thier little baby boy from the hospital! After spending 101 days in NICU, many complications, infections and saying good-bye to his twin brother exactly a month ago, Andrew passed a series of tests that the team of doctors agreed that it was time for him to come home. He still is on oxygen, a feeding tube and has a shunt, but home. We have hoped and prayed that this day would come and it was so great to see the happiness and joy in these new parents eyes and gratitude for his life and the opportunity to be parents. We were all very excited for all his little cousins to meet him for the first time!
2nd- We went down to Utah County to Lindon and had a big dinner at Allison's house with all the family. We slept over at her house and woke up before the sun to run in the Freedom Festival 5K in Provo. Emily, Mike, and I have run in a few together on the 4th, but this year, we recuited 17 of our family members to run with us! (Including Grandma and Grandpa!) It was so much fun and all the kids from the youngest (Austin) who is 8 and to the oldest cousin Michael (who is 19!) ran and did great! Even Megan, Jaron, Hailey and Emma were pushed in jogging strollers and had a great time! After the race, we walked down to watch the Provo Parade and then back to Allsion's house for swimming and hot tubbing to relax our tired bodies and muscles! What a great day!
