Family Time

For two weeks in June, we were very lucky to have all of the Dent family together. My two brothers, who live out-of-state, came to visit. Ryan, Karen and their 4 kids flew out from New Jersey, and Matt, Andrea and their 2 kids DROVE from Houston, Texas. We spent every minute we could together only seeing them about twice a year. We spent time at the cabin, had BBQ's, family pictures and the BIGGEST retirement party for my Dad. He will be retiring soon (we hope! He is 69 next month and has been wanting to retire for over a year now, but let's just say he has the type of job that is hard to find a qualified replacement)I will have to do a seperate post on his party...

We also spent the 4th of July week-end at Allison and Jeff's home in Lindon, Utah. We had so much fun staying at their beautiful house, swimming everyday in their swimming pool, eating gourmet food, going on a couples date, and enjoying the Freedom Festival in Provo. For the 4th of July we started early in the day by running the 5K. Emily, Mike, Nathan and I had a great time in the race and loved watching all the hot air balloons lift off as we were running. Then after the race we met the rest of the family to watch the parade and then had another day of play, swimming, playing golf and more BBQ's. We have such a great time together and find that their cousins are really their best friends! I love having such a great family who is so fun to be with, endlessly shows love, gratitude, compassion and sincere friendship.
