BYU vs. UTAH

This feels funny to write, but I am amazed how much influence a father has on their children. A few days ago Mike had the opportunity to attend the BIG game over Thanksgiving week. If you live in Utah you know what I'm talking about. BYU vs UTAH. Ever since I was little I remember this one game, pretty much the only one my dad ever watched all year and the hype that comes around it the weeks before. Even my kids school takes advantage of parents with the strong feelings of what school they are dedicated too. They have a fund raiser where the kids bring loose change to school and can fill the blue (BYU) bucket or the red (UTAH) bucket and at the end of the week they count the money to see what school has more pride! A little ridiculous, but it's worth a good cause. They donate the money to the Utah Food Bank. Well, I have to claim I'm a BYU fan, but because Mike attended the U of U longer than BYU (of Idaho) he is a Ute fan and has bought our kids U shirts to show their pride and they love it! Every chance they get, they wear them and when dad wears his, no question. They dig in their drawers or laundry basket and wear it no matter what condition it's in.
