Wicked

On Friday night, I had a very special date. I took Nathan to see the musical "Wicked" at the Capitol Theatre. He was very excited to go on a date with his mom and didn't even mind dressing up to go out. Mike and I were able to see this performance while we were in London a few months ago, so when we heard it was coming to Salt Lake, we jumped at the chance to take our kids. Unfortunately, you have to be at least 8 to go, so we decided it would make a great date night for mom and Nathan. We saw on the news that all 6 weeks of shows were sold out in less than 5 hours. We felt very lucky to go.
It was a great experience for him and his first Broadway Musical. The best part of it all is to see Nathan's reaction to everything. He loved it and didn't get bored or anxious in the alomost 3 hour performance. He has heard the music around our house and the night before we sat down to watch the movie, "Wizard of Oz". I think it helped refresh his memory of the story. During and after the show I was surprised at how much he captured of the story line. He would get very excited and say things like, "I get it! That's where the ruby slippers come from!" or "this story answers all my questions about why she's green, and
