I'm a Bobcat!

Last month Nathan received his first award in scouts, his Bobcat. He was so excited to start this program that he finished all his requirements during Christmas vacation. We gave him all his scouting materials for one of his Christmas gifts and it was a good activity to do while out of school for 2 weeks. Anyway, he didn't receive his award till March because because he missed January's by one day before his birthday and February's pack meeting was the Blue and Gold banquet and our ward doesn't hand out awards that night because of time. Anyway, he is now working towards his Wolf requirements and one of many is that he helped me plan a healthy meal, budget all the food, shop at the store, fix dinner, set the table and do all the dishes. It took us all afternoon and well into the evening before the last dish was washed. But he did tell me that he didn't realize how much time and work it takes to make a meal and even better the last few weeks he tells me every meal "Thanks for dinner, Mom"

That is so great. He is such a good kid. He looks so much like Mike! Can't wait to see you again!

Congrats Nate! You'll have to ask your dad...I think he only made it to a bear foot! (hee, hee) Way to go helping your mom with dinner! Those strawberries look yummy!
