Nathan's 8th Birthday!!!

On Friday, January 16th, it was Nathan's 8th Birthday! We are so grateful to have this sweet boy in our family! He is such a good kid and tries very hard to do what is right. He is a great help to me at home and I can honestly say we are good friends. We prayed and waited a long time for him to come and join our family and it was well worth the wait!
For his birthday, we had such a great week-end celebrating with family and friends. He woke up to birthday streamers on his door and Austin, Megan and I met him at school and ate lunch with him there. We went to his classroom afterwards to spotlight him and hand out his birthday treats. That night we met Mike at Sizzler and had a birthday dinner. We let our kids choose a favorite place to eat out on their birthday and were just glad it wasn't the usual McDonalds! Then, yesterday his friends came over to celebrate and we took 10 boys swimming at the Clearfield Aquatic Center! Wow! It kept us busy, but we sure had a great time playing tag, going down the water slides and doing tricks off the diving board. This week has been busy for him with a few visitors. His cute primary teachers came over and gave him balloons and a new CTR ring. Also, the Cub Scout Masters stopped by to welcome him to CUB SCOUTS! It's hard to believe we are at this new chapter in our lives with going to Pack Meetings, weekly den meetings and passing off all the requirements. I have to admit I don't have much experience with this adventure, but we are excited to be a part of it and learn together! He is very excited and I'm just trying to sew his patches on straight, it's harder than it looks!
