For Family Home Evening we carved our pumpkins that we picked from our pumpkin patch! My kids were so excited for this activity they could hardly stand it. I love watching them fish out all the tools in my drawer and lay it all out on the counter. Then they draw several sketches on paper on how they want it carved. Mike helps them with the final details and then he carves out the scary or funny face. Mike is a true pro at this and it puts mine to shame. I just stick to helping them clean out the seeds. Megan had a great time playing with her pumpkin in her high chair and watching the boys in our family get creative.
