Our sweet dog, Bella, puts up with a lot in our house. We have four kids and they are learning and growing up just like most children. Like many families, we choose to include pets in our home to give our children these experiences and learning to take care of them. Our daughter, Megan likes to take Bella for walks and will even dress her up in doll clothes...but this time she tied ribbons to her tail and paws. Then she took her for a walk around the neighborhood to "have her in a parade" was what she explained to me. I chuckeled a long time about this one because it reminded me of what I put my dog through when I was little. My sister and I did very similar silly things when we were little and had the time of our lives. It's the only reason why I didn't stop her. It made me realize, it's not just our boys who have a great friend. This dog is a great friend to all of them. Somehow, it's worth all the time, money, work and even the barking to give our kids the many joys of having a dog.
