On our drive up to Idaho to visit Mike's family for the Herbst Christmas party, we stopped by his Grandparents house to say hello. We actually left on time for the drive up North and made it to Blackfoot with a hour or more to spare. It has only been but a few weeks since we saw them, but his Grandpa Keith had a terrible accident in October where he fell, broke his hip, had surgery, and after several months of physical therapy, he was finally released to come home. We wanted to see them once again, give them our Christmas gift and even sing a few Christmas carols together. I just love visiting them. Since I was first married, 15 years ago, they have adopted me right into their family and I admire them so much. My last grandparent passed away when I was 14 years old and I went several years with any grandparent, so I feel so lucky to have them a part of our lives and for my children to experience Great-Grandparents who are a BIG part of them and who they are.
