Another year of school

Before School
Yesterday was the last day of summer break and today was the first day back to school. For some reason, the kids woke up extra early and were ready almost an hour before the bus was scheduled to come, so we made a big breakfast, read scriptures and even planned the rest of the week. It was so fun watching them go over their lists again and again and looking through their new backpacks. We decided to skip ridding the bus and go over early as a family. We found their classrooms, met their teachers and took some pictures. Nathan is now in 5th Grade and Austin is starting 3rd. Where does the time go? It seems like this summer was so short and even though I am ready for a schedule and routine again, I am going to miss them being home so much! I love being able to take off and go swimming or to the cabin with no other responsibilities and conflicts. I'll miss them asking to watch home movies or to make cookies and play card games. This summer was full and busy, but loved the lazy days in between. We did a lot together and some of their favorite things were building things out of wood in my dad's workshop, making smore's and banana boats in our fire-pit, sleeping outside on the tramp and watching Pheineas and Ferb. Yip, it's been a great summer.
