This year for Halloween we had a "theme" in our family. A game of FOOTBALL Anyone? Maybe I had better explain. Jaron was the team mascot. A Lion. We are not sure what team has a mascot as a lion,(maybe Detroit Lions?), but each of our boys have used this costume for their first Halloween and we didn't want to break that tradition or spend money on any costumes this year, so we pulled together what we already had and tried to be creative.

Megan was a cheerleader. Mike bought this for her last year to cheer on his team. The Utes. She wears it every "game day" and likes it because it's close to a dress and she can twirl in it. She loves to shout, "Go Utes!"

The older boys were the football players. We've had these costumes for a while and when we got them, they picked their favorite school. They are trying to look "tough" because they told me that football players don't smile for pictures. Haaah!

I love this time of year and sometimes, I think that there are just as many Halloween parties as Christmas parties. Within a one week time frame we have had: school class parities, friend and a neighborhood Halloween party, and our annual ward party (with a carnival and pumpkin contest!) Then there is Halloween night to trick-or-treat with all the delight. We love them all, but they keep us busy! This one was our favorite. My niece, Jenna has a birthday a week before Halloween and each year to celebrate we all come in costume and have a carnival for her family party. We bob for apples, go on scavenger hunt, make home-made donuts, and eat yummy chili!

This is Jaron and his cousin Hailey. They are only 3 months apart and great friends.

A costume is required to come to the party and it's so much fun when everyone dresses up! This is my sister Emily, as the Statue of Liberty and my dad, Indiana Jones.
