Happy Birthday Naters! It's hard to believe that 9 years ago I held you in my arms as a little baby. Thinking about your future and all the fun we were going to have. Nathan turned 9 on January 16th we were lucky to have it fall on a Saturday this year so we were able to spend all day together celebrating! We started off by serving him breakfast in bed with streamers on his door, then we went to his Jr. Jazz basketball game and afterwards to eat lunch at his favorite restaurant, Panda Express. We headed over to Boondocks to play a couple games of laser tag and then came home to open presents. For his birthday cake, he really wanted an "ice cream cake" from Dairy Queen and I was a little sad and actually really relieved that I didn't have to spend hours making our traditional home-made character cake. It has been a little harder doing "regular" things since our 4th baby has been born.
Nathan is such a sweetheart. His teacher at school described it best when she hand wrote a note on his report card with, "Nathan is a friend to everyone and jumps in to help out without even asking! He always participates and does his best in everything. He is a happy boy and smiles endlessly. He works hard and is a good example to everyone around him." We love you Nathan and are grateful to have you in our family, and you have made these 9 years so wonderful for me and I love being your mom!
