Last week, we took about 4 days and traveled down to St. George to be with Mike during the ULSC convention he had for work. It was so warm and nice to have a change of scenery. My kids loved wearing their flip-flops and short sleeved shirts and now can't wait for spring. I have not been there since high school and I forgot the beautiful red rocks and what a neat little city it is. During the day, Mike had meetings, but I got to play with the kids. We went swimming, to the Natural History Museum, Brigham Young and Jacob Hamblin home, the St. George Temple and visitors center, the Dinosaur Museum and even just hang out at the hotel and do nothing! (Oh yes, and let's not forget Chuck E Cheese and shopping at the outlets). The best part of the whole trip was visiting the Temple and visitors center. There is so much history in that little town and we had a personal tour from Mark Ubank! He and his wife just got called to serve a temple mission there and have only been out for about 3 weeks. He was very nice and it was fun to meet him. He emulated the missionary spirit!
