I love to see the Temple

With much debate on time, days, tickets and schedules, we decided to make a few sacrifices and take the 4 hour drive up to Rexburg, Idaho to visit the Open House for the new LDS Temple. I vaguely remember going through and visiting the Jordan River Temple Open House when I was really little and then again much later in life visiting the Bountiful, Utah Temple Open House. It left strong impressions on me that I have always remembered. The reverence, peace and beauty of the magnificent structure and the goal of someday being worthy to be endowed, attend and marry that special someone there. With all of that said, I really had deep desires to take my three children to this temple, even though they are young and might not remember much. It was a very cold Idaho day in January. Zero degrees Fahrenheit to be exact. Not sure what the temperature was with the wind chill, but really cold. All I can say was that it was worth every effort to take them there. I was really surprised with their reverance, respect and the questions that they aksed. I really hope that they will remember the feelings that they felt while we were there. I love to see the Temple and hope that they will be going there someday.
