For the past 8 years, my mom puts on the greatest Easter Egg Hunt. She hides over a hundred plastic eggs in her yard and after a big lunch, we all get to hunt for them. The surprise is that there isn't candy in these eggs, but numbers or even money. If you don't get a $1 or $2 bill inside, there is a little paper with a number on it that you match to a prize. The kitchen table is usually covered with all sorts of prizes. There is everything from dollar store toys, a can of Pringles or bag of cookies, sunglasses, card games, smelly lotion, duct tape (for the guys) or even a kitchen spatula. (We all bring a few prizes to donate). It is a fun tradition that we all look forward too and talk about all year long.
